Monique graduated with an associate’s degree from the University of South Carolina Upstate and earned a Bachelor and Master of Science in Nursing from Gardner-Webb University. She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau Nursing Honors Society, a Jonas V Nurse Leader Scholar, and was awarded the Daisy Faculty Award. Her primary responsibilities at USC Upstate include clinical coordinator and clinical instructor for Community and Public Health Practicum, clinical instructor for Senior Practicum in Professional Nursing, and as advisor for the Student Nursing Association. Her research interests include obesity, childhood obesity, and chronic disease management, especially related to diabetes.
