Dr. O'Connor has a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering and master's degrees in statistics and in management, all from the Georgia Institute of Technology. He has a doctorate in business management from Georgia State University. Dr. O'Conner teaches primarily in the areas of operations management, operations improvement, and statistics. His research interest includes environmental sustainability in manufacturing, system optimization, and applied statistics. Dr. O'Conner has served as vice president of operations, plant manager, director of quality, and process engineering manager for such companies as Fuji Film, Printpack and BBA Fiberweb, and is a Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt.
