Dr. Tracey Miller was born and raised in Spartanburg, SC. She is a full-time nursing instructor at USC Upstate since 2012 and a family nurse practitioner since. Her medical career began as a registered respiratory therapist in 1999 and a registered nurse in 2005. Dr. Miller obtained a master’s degree in Nursing Leadership & Management from Walden University in 2012, received a post-master’s degree as a nurse practitioner in 2015, and a Doctor of Nursing practice degree in nurse executive leadership from the University of South Carolina-Columbia in 2020. Research interest includes the prevention of medication calculation errors among BSN students. She also owns her own CPR business, Health Core Direct, established in 2010. Her goal is to continue teaching and working to promote positive, healthier outcomes in the community.
