Rabbi Yossi Liebowitz is an adjunct professor in interdisciplinary studies at the University of South Carolina Upstate, where he teaches two sections of the interdisciplinary studies senior seminar (alternative history, and antecedents, parallels, and sequels – a literary investigation). Rabbi Liebowitz received his Rabbinical Ordination and earned his Doctorate of Divinity at Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion. He is the rabbi of the B’nai Israel Temple in Spartanburg. His areas of scholar inquiry include topics related to the Holocaust such as children’s spirituality. He also publishes regularly on religion in the Spartanburg Herald-Journal.
