Dr. Felicia Jenkins is an assistant professor in the Mary Black School of Nursing at the University of South Carolina Upstate. She received her associate of science degree in technical nursing and Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from USC Upstate. She received her Master of Science degree with a focus in nursing education from Gardner-Webb University and certificate of graduate study in public health from USC Columbia. She successfully defended her dissertation titled “Physical Activity and Cardiometabolic Risk Factors among African American Women Residing in the Southeastern United States” to earn her Ph.D. in nursing science from the Medical University of South Carolina. As an assistant professor she teaches in the four-year baccalaureate and RN-BSN programs.
