Bio:
Latasha began teaching at the University of South Carolina Upstate in 2014 and is a full-time faculty clinical nursing instructor. She teaches Health Alterations I and II to nursing students, and also teaches the Advanced Cardiac Life Support course to senior nursing students. Latasha served in the Army Reserves for five years, during which time she graduated cum laude from USC Upstate with a BSN in 2006. She began her nursing career at the Spartanburg Medical Center as a staff registered nurse. Latasha earned her Master of Science in nursing education degree from Gardner-Webb University in 2013, where she completed her thesis titled “What are African Americans’ Diagnosed with Type I or Type II Diabetes Mellitus Perceptions about Diet and Medication Management in Relation to Stress and Coping Mechanisms?” Latasha is also a part-time employee at the Spartanburg Medical Center in the respiratory medical-surgical, telemetry unit as a staff registered nurse.
